• The course is designed to provide an overview of Critical Infrastructure Protection;


• Protecting the National Critical National Infrastructure is the ultimate agenda of National Cyber Security Policy;


• Services like power, water ,telecommunications, transportation, petroleums, etc are so vital to propel the economic growth of the country;


• The security agencies e.g. the Armed Forces, PDRM and other emergency services are relying on services rendered by those critical infrastructure;


• It is generally understood that protecting the critical infrastructure is a very complex endeavor due to the fact that the infrastructure are interconnected and interdependence to each other;


• The program shall introduce the followings:

1) Infrastructure concept;
2) The complexity of managing the Critical Infrastructure;
3) The government initiative in handling this issues;
4) Discussion on some possible strategies of CIP;
5) Discussion of various critical sectors such as electricity, water, telecommunications, transportation and airport management;
6) Introduction to SCADA.
